School Meals & Snacks

School Snacks

We encourage healthy eating and all children will be actively encouraged to eat fruit or a suitable alternative at break times. We have a healthy food tuck shop where pupils can purchase a snack for a small amount of money.

Early Years have a fruit snack prepared for them daily at a cost of £1.00 per week. Children are not allowed to eat sweets or chew gum during school hours. Please support this healthy schools campaign.

School Meals

A wide variety of hot and cold meals are available daily and eaten in the school hall. School menus are sent home termly.

The School Meals Service operates a “Healthy Eating” policy, which is reflected in the menus offered.

Currently meals are paid for in advance every Monday morning. The present cost of a meal is £1.90 per day or £9.50 for a 5 day week.

Cheques are to be made payable to Northumberland County Council. Please put cheques or cash into a clearly marked envelope with the relevant details:

Provision is made for children wishing to bring their own packed lunch to eat in the school hall. Pleasenote that no glass bottles are allowed and we ask you not to nclude any fizzy drinks. Packed lunch boxes are stored in designated areas. These areas are refrigirated so please consider the contents carefully. At present we have no cool or refrigirated storage areas available to facilitate this.
