Admissions
Parents considering applying to the school for the admission of their child/children are most welcome to visit the school when it is in session. Please contact the school to make an appointment.
A child is required by law to attend school full time from the beginning of the term following their fifth birthday.
Pupils are currently eligible to enter our school the term after their 3rd birthday, providing there are places available
Absence and Punctuality
If your child is going to be absent, please contact the school 01670 812324. There is someone in the office from 8.30 a.m. If you cannot telephone, please send an absence note. The Government has instructed schools that all unexplained absence must be registered as unauthorised absence.
For continuity in their education children should not miss school. If you have to arrange a holiday during the school term, please ask for a Holiday Application Form. The maximum holiday leave we are allowed to authorise is ten school days in a school year. If a child has more than ten school days holiday leave, we must record the extra days as unauthorised absences. The school bell is rung at 8.50am to enable class registers to be called at 8.55am. Any child who is late loses his/her mark for the session and the school has to record the child's lateness as unauthorised absence. For their own safety, children should not be on the premises before 8.45 a.m.
